In this winter paradise, skiing enthusiasts and snowboarders will find all they could ever wish for. Just a 7-minute drive from our hotel, the "Schwemmalm" cable car takes you comfortably up to a height of 2200 m, right in the centre of the Schwemmalm ski area. The Schwemmalm ski area in the Val d'Ultimo is small but very pleasant, with slopes that are ideal for families, but equally satisfying for experienced skiers. Skiing on the wide slopes of Schwemmalm offers enjoyment for everyone, with downhill runs of varying difficulty to suit both beginners and experts.

With slopes rising from 1500 to 2600 metres and sun for most of the day, this area offers delightful skiing without the hustle of larger resorts or long queues for lifts.

Cross-country skiers will really enjoy the trail at the bottom of the valley and admire the beautiful landscape. Far away from busier places, you'll find some wonderful paths through this winter setting. You can follow these trails through a pristine environment, enjoying breathtaking views of the majestic peaks and filling your lungs with the pure, fresh mountain air. Hiking or snowshoeing among the snow-covered firs and through this magnificent winter setting is not only a unique holiday experience but also a balm for body and spirit. And an added delight is a rest stop at one of the traditional mountain huts in the Val d'Ultimo.
